We went to Naivasha a couple weeks ago to see some friends, there were lots of children and we played outside. It was near Lake Naivasha which had a lot of flamingos and hippos in the water.
I'll post more photos later, but here are a couple flamingos.
2 years ago when I was here in Kenya last I met some friends at Java House (Java House is like Starbucks for my friends in the US) . Sometimes they switch locations. we have been to 2 locations and at the second location we saw my friend Evans (Evans is a popular name here) . So it is nice that I have found a friend from a couple years ago again.
Bad things :(
Let me begin by telling you we have 2 dogs at our house. We also have the neighbors dog that comes over everyday. His name is "Shorts" he is a dachshund. (He is tied with Grizwald)
Our dogs are Grizwald he is a male lab type dog. He is 8 years old. He is very protective of the house, especially the front section. He likes to howl at night which wakes me sometimes. Sometimes he takes off during the night and when he comes back he is beaten up. (He is tied with Shorts)
And Mocha, she is a German Shepard. She is 3 years old. She was the runt of the litter. But sadly bullied by another dog for her first 18 months. she is very intelligent and social. She likes water and to get dirty. (She's my favorite)
Shorts is the smallest. Mocha is the largest and Grizwald is not small but not as big as Mocha.
First fight.
Shorts and Grizwald.
Injuries: Shorts: bleeding by the eye and wounds on his neck :(
Grizwald: none found
2nd fight.
Grizwald and Neighbors house guests German Shepard.
Injuries:
Grizwald: bleeding from the back of his ear, and his neck, he was limping
Other dog: I'm sure he had some but we didn't see them.
It is sad when the dogs get attacked but they pull through soon enough. :)

Happy things :)
We have a stream in our backyard. It is small but fill up quickly when it rains. We race things down it, set up dams. it's so fun :)
this was before we got a lot of rain. I will post more photos later
Lots of different flowers here, here's a nice one
- Took our first gymnastics class
- Picked up my Dad from his office and went out for lunch
- Went back to my Dads office and got his stuff.
- Drove back home.
- Went to our stream out back
- Set up a dam
- Raced a log down the river
- The log then crashed into our dam and it fell apart
- Went inside
- Played with some pillows
- Then went back out
- Built the dam agien
- Went back inside
- Trying to finish my blog (yes this one)
- still waiting for my new siblings to join our family

Great first post 'Tech Support'! Sounds like you and your brother are having fun in your backyard paradise!! I'm sure that one day soon, my children will love to join you in your dam making!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Grizwald takes it easy on shorts from here on in!
Sounds good !
DeleteKeep sharing, Tech Support! It is so great to hear about Africa and your fun adventures!
ReplyDeleteThanks for Sharing Tech Support. Building dams and racing things down it sounds like fun. I have a son named Evans. Until now, he's was the only one I have ever heard of named Evans. I've met many boys names "Evan" but not "Evans".
ReplyDeleteThanks all
ReplyDeletemy brother should be posting soon ;)
